Playa Blanca
Town Beach
- Access Ramps: Smooth ramps connect the promenade to the beach and a suitable shelter from the sun.
- Walkways: The wooden pathway allows relatively easy navigation close to the water.
- Facilities: There are no toilets available at the beach, the closest are in the square between the taxi rank and the church. There is a floatation/beach wheelchair available. You can book it through the lifeguard or the Ayuntamiento.
Playa Flamingo and Playa Dorada are not accessible
Puerto Del Carmen
Playa Grande
Probably the best accessible beach on the island with the most facilities.
- Ramps and Pathways: Ensure smooth access from the promenade to the beach. There are 2 wooden walkways, one of which leads to a large sheltered area.
- Parking: Dedicated parking spaces close to the beach.
- Facilities: Accessible shower and disabled toilets which are well maintained.

Playa Chica
- Ramps and Pathways: Ensure smooth access from the road to the beach. The beach has a small shelter on its promenade. There is a wooden walkway which leads close to the water’s edge. It’s worth noting this area of the beach is quite rocky to access the water, especially at low tide.
- Parking: Parking in this area is difficult, the closest disabled spaces are in front of the Fariones Hotel, however, there are 4.
- Facilities: Accessible shower. There are toilets but not accessible ones.

Playa Los Pocillos
- Ramps and Pathways: There is a wooden walkway, accessible via Plaza de Las Naciones, which leads to a small shelter.
- Parking: If there is space you can park on the Avenida de las Playas or car parks a short walk away in the direction of Matagorda.
- Facilities: A foot shower just off the main walk way as you can see in the photo.
- Beach Wheelchairs: Available for use, enabling visitors to enjoy the water.

Matagorda Beach
This is in front of the hotel Sol Lanzarote.
- Ramps and Pathways: There is a wooden walkway which leads to a large shelter.
- Parking: Not close by, the closest is near the Comercio Centre Matagorda.
- Facilities: No shower and the nearest toilets are in the commercial centre.
- Beach Wheelchairs: Not available here
- Nearby Amenities: Accessible restaurants and shops in the commercial centre, 220m away.
Playa Honda
There are various small bays that have access to the beach via ramps and wooded walkways.
- Ramps and Pathways: There is a wooden walkway which leads to a large shelter on the big beach by the large car park near the school at the Guacimeta end of Playa Honda. You can see a video of the area here
- Parking: relatively easy depending which area/bay you choose.
- Facilities: most have a shower at the end of the ramp and best one for toilets is the car park described above.
- Beach Wheelchairs: Not available here.
- Nearby Amenities: Accessible restaurants and cafes at various points along the promenade. Be aware these will be busy at the weekends and early evening.
Arrecife
Playa Del Reducto
Arrecife has a lovely waterfront and it’s one of a few capital cities with a beach.
There is good access to the soft sands
- Ramps and Pathways: A wooden walkway leads to a large shelter on the beach.
- Parking: The area close to the beach has now been pedestrianised so the best and closest place to park is under the Arrecife Gran Hotel (This is a pay-to-park car park).
- Facilities: There are showers and accessible toilets.
- Beach Wheelchairs: Available here.
- Nearby Amenities: There are restaurants and cafes close by but we don’t have information on their accessibility.
Costa Teguise
Playa Las Cucharas
- Ramps: Direct access from the promenade.
- Accessible Facilities: Restrooms and showers are adapted for wheelchair users.

Princesa Yaiza
If you are looking for a 5-star break then this hotel has to be on your list of potential places to stay!
They have several suites adapted to the needs of wheelchair users and hearing-impaired guests. These are all located in the main building and have plenty of space (65 m2 inside and a 12 m2 terrace) including a bedroom, a separate living room, and a fully equipped bathroom with a separate shower.

HD Beach - Costa Teguise
We highly recommend checking out HD Beach in Costa Teguise. They have fabulous adapted rooms with roll-in showers, accessible bathrooms, lots of space in the room and around the bed and even wheelchair ramps into the pool to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
